Stevenson High School, Wind River Middle School and Carson Elementary
All Schools qualify for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows all students to have a complete breakfast and lunch at no cost.
Additional meals or ala carte items can be purchased and applied to the student’s meal account. Funds must be available for further purchases. No extra items can be bought without sufficient funds in their account.
Every family is encouraged to complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit Application (CNEEBA), linked below. The CNEEBA form captures information and ensures the district/school receives state funding for education programs. It will also provide those who qualify with SUNBUCKS or Summer EBT (SNAP) during the summer months when school is not in session.
All financially qualifying students who have filled out the consent to share form (linked below) may have discounts or zero fees for specific charges. Examples: ASB and athletics. The form must be filled out annually.

Procedure for Handling Complaints of Discrimination
1. Complaints of discrimination must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination.
2. Complaints of discrimination should be given to the Chief Nutrition Officer of Child Nutrition
Services, Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Chief Nutrition Officer will forward to the
Food & Nutrition Service, Western Regional Office, San Francisco.
3. Complaints of discrimination may be written or verbal. Use of a form is not required for a person
filing a complaint. If a person is unwilling, unable, or not inclined to put the complaint in writing,
the person taking the complaint shall do so. (Complaint Form attached.)
4. Complaints of discrimination should contain as much of the following information as possible:
a. Name, address, email address, and telephone number or other means of containing the complainant.
b. The specific location and name of the entity providing the benefits.
c. A description of a specific action that caused the complainant to believe that discrimination was a factor.
d. Basis on which a complainant feels that discrimination occurred (race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation to prior civil rights activity).
e. Names and titles, if known, and addresses of persons who may have knowledge of the discriminatory action.
f. The date(s) of the alleged discriminatory actions occurred or the duration of such action.

Special Dietary Accommodations
How do I get Special Dietary accommodations for my child?

The Stevenson-Carson School District may substitute another beverage for students with a disability or life threatening illness to include an anaphylactic milk allergy.
Students with a life threatening illness must submit a diet prescription signed by a licensed physician (not an approved medical authority) clearly stating what type of beverage to substitute.
For students with a non-life threatening condition, the Stevenson-Carson School District will provide lactose-free milk as a substitute. Students must have a diet prescription signed by an approved medical authority on file with the district.
